KentWingChun.net is a supported web site and member of the well respected UK Wing Chun Kung Fu Assoc. As such we can guarantee you that you are in safe, experienced hands. We have been established since 1985…….
As a #wingchun teacher, James Sinclair, is sometimes seen as a bit of a maverick. His approach is not going to suit everyone. We fully accept that....It takes a lot of work to create these videos with 4 cameras and up to an hour of content each. We do not give you the 'best bits' as our subscribers deserve that. However, we hope you do gain something. If you like it, please 'like it' . The simple effort of acknowledgement displays some manners, thanks, and is motivational to keep these coming. However, if you dont like it please walk on by quietly, and with maturity. This is another longer form extract, yet it remains only a tiny extract. Please accept because of this it is easy to misinterpret the scene. It is hoped that some of you will understand and try to imagine what was dicussed before and after this part. And we hope that you can take somehing away from this short clip and not simply dismiss it out of hand. The subject matter for Pt10 of the #ChiSau 2023 presentations was the principle of BIK.Bik is to press, crowd and extort. So closing distance and pressuring people into making mistakes and not giving people time to settle. If you do find yourself strangely and uncomfortably thinking James Sinclair and the #ukwckfa say a few things you like... you may be interested to know we now have approx. 400 (yes four hundred!!) 1/2 hour to one hour long presentations. They range hugely in topics from the Basics to the Pole and Dummy and Knives and even Chi Energy! As this extract is simply a giveaway, free extract, we will not get into discussions as it can go back ad forth ad infinitum, and life is just too short. UK Wing Chun Kung Fu Assoc. This is short clip from the year 2000 where a number of #UKWCKFA students took the 4th Level Grading. This is a test focussed on sparring. They demonstrated the #wingchun forms, then:Double Chi Sau, Gworr Sau, Back to The Wall, One Armed Sparring, Multiple Opponents and more..... iAs the Third and Fourth Grading are not compulsory to move up classes, very few have the will to take on the challenge. ... If you find yourself revisiting our #ukwckfa page, why not follow us and enjoy the journey? In this clip we are simply sharing some very basic #chisau tips, that may be useful to beginners, and possibly more experienced students of the Art. The true 'dirt and detail' is in watching the full zoom presentation. Context and experience count for far more than these short extracted clips. Once again, this is a TINY extract from a far deeper discussion that covered BIK. James discussed the hip bump, foot placement, how to apply pressure safelyand so much more. In this clip, James Sinclair, discusses the basic #wingchun idea of BIK and how it relates to foot placement. To assist, James sets a static position for beginners to gain ideas. He also demonstrated the application on the #WoodenDummy and how to use the 'Arms' in a functional manner that breaks away from the 'pretty' traditional approach. It is always down to you to bring these ideas to life, and that can only be achieved through partner training and trying it when sparring. They all work, but can you apply them.....?Training makes a person realise that there are always answers for answers. You are aiming to walk the walk, not just talk the talk.We are currently enrolling students in most of our branches and HQ. Please note: We only take on new students twice a year to ensure you are not distubed by beginners and having to start again constantly. We will take on students who have previous Wing Chun experience at any time.-----------------------------------------------------UK Wing Chun Kung Fu Assoc.
